I met Julie working in Denver in the late 90’s and it is testament to the person she is that we stayed friends since then although myself and Babs moved far away back home to the UK. Much has been said on her joie de vivre, and it was as true then in those days in Denver as it was when we visited her on 20th July, eating ice creams on her porch in Santa Fe.

I have many memories of Julie, without exception all good ones, and we had some great times. Her busy adventurous itinerary always included visits to see us in the Lake District here in the North of England for some fab hiking and biking.

She got to be best friends with our son Tom who at just 5yrs old was keen for some instruction on a VDiff staircase climb.

She was the coolest person to Tom on her visits, just reinforcing what we all know in that she was a easy, fun person to be with.

We’ll miss you Julie, and our thoughts and hearts go out to you, Mark, and her family.
