I first met Julie climbing Geronimo in Redrocks and boy was I lucky. I didn’t know it at the time, but Julie would encourage me to do all kinds of things. One of my favorite memories was the time she took me out for my first backcountry ski trip. I had just purchased a backcountry…
I have had the pleasure of knowing Julie for 25+yrs beginning in CO and most recently in NM. She was a truly amazing person on so many fronts; intelligent, witty, kind, compassionate, thoughtful, athletic, generous, tough, incredibly active, friendly, etc. The list goes on and on. I’ve never known anyone like her and always suspected…
Julie has been such a joy and blessing to share life with. Three of us became known as the Irish boys – about 20 something years of adventure, fun and laughter followed. She and Mark have been a rally point as we gathered from all across the globe, to ski, ride, climb, hike or just…
I met Julie since my husband and Mark have been friends since 3rd grade. They came to visit when we were in the Netherlands and were so much fun. Julie and I got closer with her cancer diagnosis. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and she was so helpful and inspiring for me! She reached…
I met Julie working in Denver in the late 90’s and it is testament to the person she is that we stayed friends since then although myself and Babs moved far away back home to the UK. Much has been said on her joie de vivre, and it was as true then in those days…
Julie got us into every outdoor activity possible after we met over 30 years ago. We have a myriad of adventures with her thanks to Julie’s adventuresome spirit and desire to live life to its fullest. We will be forever grateful for her friendship and she will be forever missed.
We did a 3-day Adventure Race in Moab in 2004 that was awesome. What a strong racer she was. Always upbeat and willing! Paddling, biking, hiking, etc. for a few hundred miles of fun! The campfire and pizza picture was taken because we hit a dark zone for paddling on the Colorado River (the night…
Julie showed us a fun time when we went to visit her in New Mexico. I will also remember seeing how she took such loving care of her old cat. Julie was so fun and also so kind!
